| Thanks!! I've been lookin' for a pic of that jet for weeks! I believe it's the target simulator used for testing the Airborne Laser (ABL). See the missile shape in white? The ABL is designed to zap the bandit in the boost phase. So the 135 flies an ascent profile just like the Vomit Comet. Sensors on the ABL are supposed to be able to recognize a target's silouette so it can figure out how and where to put the beam for best effectiveness. |
