Happy B-Day Parrothead,
Maybe you'll check this board tomorrow since right now you are probably in Margaritaville |

Congratulations, Parrothead! In Germany, we usually say: "Alles Gute zum Geburtstag! Und alles, was Du dir selber wünschst!". So I hope, you understand - or not. And you must blow-out all of the candles. Happy Birthday!
PS: Question to AfterburnerDecalsScott: You realy like "rum based drinks"? If possible, please tell me some more details abouth these drinks! I still drink German "Klarer" (in detail "Altstädter Klarer", provided by Lidl - one of Germany´s top discounters) - at a low price level, mixed with fresh-pressed lemons. Hmm...
During the last weeks, I read the printed German issue of "The Lost Continent - Travels in Small Town America", written by Bill Bryson (an author from United Kingdom) in 1989. Although this book is not related to any F-16 topic, it shows a lot of the so-called "American Way Of Life".
And - after reading this book - , I love Bill Bryson for his personal opinions, insights and decisions. |

"rum based drinks"
Is a reference to where Parrothead gets his nickname from....Jimmy Buffet fans are "Parrotheads".......and Jimmy is a fan of rum and tequila based drinks.....Margaritas, Tequila Sunrise, Pina Coladas etc....lthough really more Tequila. I was just in Mexico a couple of months ago, and it really is physically painful to even type Tequila...so I just went with rum.

I'm really more of a whiskey man. |

WOW !!! THANKS !!!
I had no idea! Sorry for being down on comms lately, but I think I've got 33 hours of overtime coming to me on this next paycheck and I just woke up about now (it's 11:44 AM on my Sunday as I work weekends and I slept most of yesterday, too).
Yes, I'm starting to feel downright OLD at the ripe age of 30 !
I had to work on my Birthday, so no drinking. I know, it seems strange for me to say that, but I have only one problem with alcohol - I don't quite always know when to say when and the last thing I needed was a hangover at work! I did go out to dinner and got some cool presents, so not bad at all .
Thanks again to everyone !!! |
