Hi,
I'm looking into joining the Air National Guard doing the weekender thing, I'm interested in being a weapons loader but just had a couple questions, this may be a dumb question but the one weekend a month and two weeks a year that i'm there what all would I be doing? training on weapons would be the obvious answer I thought! Are ANG weapons loaders assigned to a single jet and crew? I guess i'm just wanting to know what to expect! any help would be great! |

| In the ANG you would be loading loading bombs, missles and messing with the gun system on the weekend and during your two weeks. I am a Crew Chief and do my job the same... |

I'm an ANG weapons troop. PM me with questions. One weekend a month 2 weeks a year: its different every time. With many ANG weapon shops there is the Flight-line and then there is the backshop. Your two weeks a year can be working on the base you're at or on a TDY.
Weapons troops are not Assigned to single jet in most cases. But they do try to keep an assigned crew together everywhere they go. Again- PM me with questions.
Actually where you thinking of Joining? |
