Is the IAF using F-15Is against targets in Lebanon aswell?
If yes, what weapons are being used on the Strike Eagles for these bombing raids.
The F-15Is 11 ton weapons load can be very usefull over Lebanon. |

Yep, weren't these the "quick, no-convo" precision guided munitions USA were sending ? I also heard something that messed my brains a bit: That the IAF hasn't got new PGMs since the Yom Kippur war. Is that true ? I mean, they haven't got new Paveways for nearly 30 years ? Or they have indigenous ones and only need the specialized ones now ?
As for the F-15Is...I suppose that if they're operating the Sufas near Syrian borders they'd have some Eagles next to them in case Syrians get nosy ? |

Well in that case I guess the Strike Eagles are being used. Did they say if the GBU-28s that the IAF is going to get will have the new BLU-22 penetrator warheads?
I herd they were having trouble busting a bunker somewhere in Lebanon, they dropped more than 20 tons of bombs on it and only managed to penetrate something like 35 meters out of the 70 meters that they need to penetrate, is that true?

Yea I thought so too, but I think that its F-15Cs not F-15I that areproviding air cover in case the Syrians do something stupid. On the IDF website they have a picture of a F-15C next to the mission name. |

Another Question about the F-15I:
Can it carry the Python-5? |

Yes, any plane that can carry the AIM-9 can carry the Pythons (4/5), with a bit of a modification for the HMCS. |

Hello all,
The IDF/AF F-15Ds are also used for strike missions - unlike their US counterparts. Some have been seen with AGM-142!! missiles under the wing pylons.
Greetings,
Henrik. |

Not exactly AGM-142, but with HAVE LITE, a light-weight version of it.
