Last I saw TT, he was a member of the T-birds. He was here at Seymour-Johnson Airshow with them last Nov 04. Only got to talk to him for 5 minutes, so not sure if he was at the beginning, midddle o end of his time. Maybe one of the members at Nellis can check the with them. oh, and I'm pretty sure he's a TSgt now.

Yep, TT is on the T-birds worked with him at Shaw on that hunk of junk 920. Sorry DogF16 have to tell it like it is. I hated scrubbing on that jet. We all know that 806 was a better jet!!!

Shocked disagree with that, find Curt Helms down in the 55th and he'll confirm - 0346 was the best till it went to the 55th then 0045 became the best Gambler bird. 806? I chased that thing up and down the East Coast plenty of times.

Muchas gracias fellas. That's a place to start!

Maybe one of y'all can help as well.

The one pic I have of 920 in OIF that shows the NG door, shows what looks like an ADCC's name on it, along with the tail # and SEAD 1.

I am trying to figure out who the ADCC was for it during that time.

Not sure who was the ADCC during OIF, but I was from the day it landed at Shaw in '95 until it went to the 9th AF demo team. I'm still trying to find photos of 920 with the 78FS Gummi worm tail flash prior to becoming the wing bird. SSGT Chadd Austin was the DCC (yes, two D's in his first name).

Hey flounder, thanks a lot. I found Terry, and he was gracious enough to give me the exact info I was looking for....and sure enough, I was off the mark about some stuff during and before OIF.

As it stands, we are portraying the jet from just before OIF, OIF, 2004 and 2005 until they changed tail #s for their wing jet.

At some point we'd like to do the 78th and I need some help with it, if you'd like to help out, I'd sure appreciate it. The first 78th jet we are doing is the demo jet of Maj Brison Phillips in 2000, in with the East Coast demo jets from 2004-2005.

Here's a preview of 3920.

Is this the pilot that was killed in Texas during a show?
I believe the tail was 534, my very close friend Robbie Flood (the Floodsta) was the DCC and crewing that day on the 9thAF demo team.
Last I heard from Robbie he was an FTD instructor out at Mt. Home.

Flounder, just so you know, the 78th was deactivated back in late 03 or early 04...can't really remember the years seem to run together these days.

Yep....already have the art drawn for his jet in fact. MAN I'd like to hear from him. I ran this by Maj. Phillips' brother and the rest of his family before proceeding, and they thought it was a nice gesture. The idea is to generate some understanding that while the pilots and maintainers involved in the demo teams make it look easy, it is in fact still a hazardous gig, as is all tactical military flying.

Here's the link the that page on our site.

NOWAY!!!! Good for him!! I bet he was starting to wonder if he would ever be cleared to go to the Kun again!!!!

I actually first ran into Robbie when I was an E2 in the 35th (87-0379) and he was in MOCC at the Kun. Crackhouse #1257 was the best party dorm on base (after the hooches were shut down). After that, the Floodsta and I were both A flighters in the 78th from 95-97, which is about the time he made the demo team.

Man, that's a blast from the past. I crewed every one of those jets at one point in time or another. 923 was mine for three months at PSAB (tail had a 79th flash but the com door somehow found itself with a 78th zap and a "made with pride in the USA" sticker.

353 IFE'd into Myrtle Beach while the 77th was deployed (If I recall) and we (mix of 78th and 79th CC's) ended up trucking an engine down there and changing it in one of the old base hangers (Myrtle Beach was a civilian airport by that time).

534? I believe this was the jet we were rigging uplock rollers on one night and I ran across some hubba-bubba pink clay (from the 77th support), wrapped it in a bubble gum wrapper, walked out to 534, and handed it to the Floodsta saying "No clay, we gotta chew hubba-bubba." Robbie being the daring type decided to mix the hubba-bubba (clay) with his double mint, took about 10 seconds before he realized and we all started cracking up.
