Anyone know why they test you on rotated blocks and hidden figures? According to www.wantscheck.com these subtests do not have a bearing on any composite. WTF

It's for Navigator Composite. So in the end yes they do someone effect your pilot composite because you must have at least a 15 on Navigator to pass pilot; and 50 total between pilot and navigator. However that score will never figure in to your PCSM.

I just looked at the AFOQT information form on the Randolph.af website and sure enough the rotated blocks and hidden figures are not a part of any composite. Damn, I am sure I smoked these sections and if they were back in the nav score like they used to be, I would have done so much better.

Shucks! oh well.

Ok, I could be wrong.

Huh, that's funny then; considering those two exercises dealt with spacial orientation I would think they would be prime for pilot/nav; considering spacial disorientation is the number one cause of aviation accidents by pilot error these days?

Maybe they are experimenting taking them out and are going to use their statstics to view how the composite reacts without them.

Nice, so they screw my score over for experimental purposes. Ha, well, hopefully they add these back into the pilot and nav sections because I know I kicked some booty on these tests. I mess with geometry like that forty hours each week as a computer designer and I finished those sections with enough time to go back and check all of my answers. Wink
