That's a great idea, but how to verify something like that? everyone on here seems to be trustworthy, but on some other boards I've been on people talk out their backsides and lie about stuff like that. . . |

Good point. But here it is becoming a well knit community rapidly. There are enough real maintainers and drivers here that would catch something. Heck the maintainers here already pick at each other in a good spirited way ( in the finest traditions of the flightline community ) that cuts through any potential BS very fast. Fortunately, because we are so damned fortunate to have some bonafide players here that the BS meter would go off of the scale real quick if there was a problem. The poser could read every online manual available and still wouldn't fly here because of the practical "hands on" experience of some of the forum members. Thats my thoughts anyway for whatever it might be worth. |

Really? Haha...that's cool, I can buy that.
I'm liking the kill marking idea, but as an addendum to a title, like at the ARC: |

On other forums I've noticed that the avatars are limited on size and it takes a day or two for your avatar to actually become active after you submit it, they have to be approved by the administrators before hand, that way they are all appropriate.
You could also limit avatars to those with at least 3 bubbles, because those are the dedicated users and I'm sure they wouldn't use a "wardrobe malfunction" type avatar.
Just an idea. |
