Any recent graduates of 16 Crew chief school @ Sheppard and Luke. How many days is the school and HOT, I have heard 90 days @ Shep and 30 @ Luke, and have seen its 71 days @ Shep and 20 days @ Luke.

Any help would be great.

Come on Thundergrunt.......What you gonna do?
I retire pretty soon and wondering if your still interested. School will be a few months and we might be able to give you a couple of weeks when you get done for hands on training.
Have a great day.........

When I did it the whole thing was 6 months long. So that makes about 180 days but that was back in 2000 so things might have changed. We called the 30-90 day people "Pop-Tarts"

I was hoping that the training would be at Hill, but I guess not.

Wow! Times have changed indeed. I did 3 months at Sheppard and two weeks follow on at Misawa. Guess the "crash course" is over.

Is the training at Luke still required? I was getting troops straight from Sheppard to Kunsan.

As far as I know SO is going straight from Sheppard to Andrews, and I did finally look up the training info for this AFSC on the Sheppard AFB site, and it's 90 days.
