Hello! Im a student of jet aviation history who, with my buddy KCMeject, collects and restores ejection seats. I especially enjoy researching the service records of my seats - I can do this since most seats come with the acft tail number stencilled on them. My interest in the Viper is recent, after purchasing the parachute container/head box of an ACESS II seat that belonged to a Block 10 -B model (the tail number stencilled on the box is 79-0420, the history of which I have already found on [Link pending approval] - THANKS!!!!). Cant wait to restore a complete ACESII one of these [Link pending approval]

I live in the St. Louis, MO area. I'm an academic by trade, currently involved in the computer simulation of parachute [Link pending approval] topic is of great interest to my current source of funding (USA); it has special significance for me too as I am a skydiver with 2400+ jumps.

I have never been in the military although my father has served in the RCAF as a sqdn surgeon in the 1950's. Lucky him, he did log many hours on the back seat of the CF-100 all-weather interceptor (and T-33s too). I must have gotten the aviation bug when he took me to the base afew [Link pending approval]

Looking forward to correspond with you all

2400 jumps Shocked you know what they say... you must be a lunatic to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. . .

Id love to try it some day though. I bet its awsome, is the 2400th time as cool as the first?

Anyways , welcome to the site!
