My favorite baseball team is the Atlanta Braves, simply because my uncle lives in Atlanta. Football, my dad would disown me if I weren't a Cowboys fan, and I haven't really gotten into soccor. As for college, I love Oklahoma State in anything. After that follows Clemson, Virginia Tech, and Navy. In that order.

Manchester United baby!!! Thumb Not Worthy Asif, I am not on the bandwagon mate, Manchester born and bred! Where are those Gooners now, haha!!
Closely followed by WRC!! , Cricket, NBA. Got no love for what you guys call "football"(no, don`t get into that one!). Baseball is as big a total mystery to me as Cricket is to most Americans!
I love "ball " though, basketball that is, used to watch Manchester Giants, now Storm I think regularly, my best mate played for them. Love the Lakers!

Asif,

I can't wait for 1st knock-out phase in UCL. Finally Barca has a team that doesn't depend solely on Ronaldinho. I hope I see Mourinho cry... Wink

That`s fightin` talk where I come from mate!!! Twisted Evil Wink Manchester is split 50/50 without a doubt! A blue half and a RED one Very Happy

Manchester United "baby", Hehe, That`s just a hang over from my Basketball fan days along with....." from down-town!"...."Alley-ooop!"....."In da paint!..."he`s got citrus!"....and my fave`.." Your in my house now!". Laughing

Funny how I had never even heard of a Chelsea fan until they became Chelski! Laughing I DO admire Mourihno though, grudgingly! I like his best quote... He was asked about the PRESSURE of being a Premiership boss...His reply..

"...Pressure? ..Pressure is when a man can`t earn enough money to feed his family, That`s pressure... Football, there is NO pressure in football..."

Pretty cool!!!

Never needed to advertise as we were a run of the mill side during the rain of Ferguson young guns.. Best trophy we got was the FA Cup. Now I can let out a little !"...."Alley-ooop!" once in a while!

Hehehe, didn`t think anyone not from the UK would understand!
Basically, football, as the rest of the world calls it, or soccer as it`s called in the USA!!! is the BIGGEST sport in the UK and Europe , South America, Africa. In fact the worlds MOST popular spectator sport, that`s a fact!

In England, the main protagonists, also the biggest clubs are, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool. These clubs/teams have dominated our domestic league for the past 20 years, well, United for the whole of the 1990s, Liverpool in the 80s. Liverpool were also kings of Europe too! United won the European cup in 1999.
Chelsea are relative new-comers to the top end. A rich Russian called Abramovich, a multi-billionaire, money from oil...and other things, bought Chelsea and money became no object! He brought in a brilliant head coach and they are starting to win things! Everybody calls them Chelski because of the Russian connection! Abramovich has his fingers in many pies!!!! He owns a few sporting clubs, some oil companies and has some..errrr...shady friends!!! Wink Chelsea HAVE to win the European championship to really be considered great though, I am sure ASIF would agree!

Shiz 302, hope that helps a little!!! I take it you are from New York!!!! Wink
Got to say, the US national soccer team are pretty good too! I don`t think anybody in the US gives a S@%t though Surprised

Reminds me of the scene from the movie Euro Trip where the main characters get on a bus full of Manchester United fans, I believe they had a sign that said " If you're not a Manc you're a w*nk"
