Look good! Habu,

pre-coated? Is the SRS chute mount point straight from the box? Looks a little oversize to me. What do you think?

cheers, Very Happy

It's Tamiya white primer, then I'll shoot it with TS-26 pure white, right out of the can. Yes, those spin chute mounts are resin, came in the box, and yes they do looks a bit oversized, but I'm not worried, I'm kinda rushing the build a bit.

I see. I don't suppose you have plan to scratch build the ballast then, do you?

cheers, Very Happy

Nah, save that for the 1/48 version. I don't usually do 1/72 scale stuff, just not my scale. Sure it takes up less space, but it's just too small to be practical. Plus 1/48 shows details better. 1/32 is too big for a large collection, although I do have a few 1/32 kits, and the detail is amazing in that scale, case in point-the Academy F-18...work of art, it squares up and takes the Big T face to face.

Hi Habu,

agree on your opinion on what the different scales can offer. But I have seen modeller who has done wonders on the level of details in 1/72. I suppose you must have gathered sufficient information to scratch build the ballast of your 1/48 VISTA in the near future? Well, will be looking forward to that. Meanwhile, do keep the 1/72 photos coming.

cheers, Very Happy

Oh by all accounts, yes 1/72 scale offers some great detail, and I do like to build big sjubjects that aren't practical in 1/48, like the Tu-95 Bear.
But for me, I like quarte scale Wink
