Well, it's a combination of playing a few free missions and selling a lot of your planes. Rolling Eyes I usually sell everything except a few of the good ones, it is usually enough to get one Falken. Wink

As for getting the other three Falkens: Ace mode, the Sea of Caos level, lots of times. Laughing

just a question, how many missiles does it take to destroy a plane in Ace mode that it would usually take 2 to destroy in Very Easy? Oh and dont you get the SU-37 by getting the kill rate of the SU-27 all the way up then get the SU-35 kill rate all the way up?

In ace mode the enemies take the same amount of hits, but you get less ammo and you die in one hit of missles and three of guns. Confused It Really sucks.

As for the SU kill rate part, there is a system of "upgrading" planes like what you mentioned above but I couldn't tell you what upgrades to what, I don't keep track of russian plane names.

The X-02/YF-25A bears a striking similarity to the F/A-37 Talon from the movie Stealth. The only difference is in the engine nozzles...

The only difference was that the X-02 came before the movie stealth, If anything, Stealth took there design off of the X-02/YF-25A! Laughing

If anyone has a 3-line view of the Talon, I would like to compare it to this attached 3-line view of the Wyvern...

Good enough...

Now that I look at it again, the Talon looks more like the "Switchblade" from the Popluar Science article than the Wyvern does. And now for the big question. Which one would win in a dogfight? The Talon may be faster (Mach 4 compared to Mach 2.5), but my money's still on the Wyvern.

For anyone who wants all of the information on the Wyvern, including dimensions, powerplant ratings, performance, and armament, and the whole history, try this site.

http://www.shatteredskies.net/x02analysis.html

This shows that both the Wyvern and the Talon share the same origin in the U.S. Navy, while the "Bird of Prey" is of the Air Force...

But more importantly, you should take a look at this site: http://www.aerospaceweb.org/question/planes/q0192b.shtml

Remember kids, it's important to be able to distinguish movies and games from reality.

The line between reality and fiction have been blurred many times before. Clint Eastwood's Firefox (and the Craig Thomas novel before that) was based on a defecting MiG-25 pilot's reports of an upgraded interceptor called the MiG-31, which we now know as the Foxhound...

Guysmiley, I've never made the claim that the X-02 (or any other fictional aircraft for that matter) actually existed, did you not see my link?

(Note: But the "Bird of Prey" technology demonstrator aircraft is an actual aircraft though, as I'm sure everyone here has heard of.)
