Do you think that the less than 1-1 replacement both a function of cost, and also because of the enhanced capability of the 22/35? Meaning that more or less the " new " jets will do the job of 2-3 " older" jets.
Also, F-15K has GE's? And what's this A-10C, did the re-engine-ing plan go thru?
Also, look at the paintjob on this F-15 on the right, blasphemy!

A-10C is a re-wired Hog that has color MFDs and a more "Viper-like" cockpit, ability to deliver PGMs - read has a targeting pod that is more integral - but didn't get the new engines, at least not yet.
Check out this link http://www.af.mil/news/story.asp?storyID=123009707
Not sure about the engines on the F-15K though, just too lazy to look it up. |

Here's a shot of one, GE turkey feathers look great!
I always thought the Eagle would have Pratts until it's demise, guess I was wrong. |

YEAH, go GE!!! I have to plug GE engines. They are putting me through college so I say to the military... BUY GE. Just curious though, is there anything wrong with GE's?
Anyway, with the new A-10's capability to do precision strike and annihilate anything ground based with a single pull of the triggger ensures that it'll be useful all the way to its phase out date of 2028.
The aging jets in our arsenal are still useful to sell to other countries because we now know we can blow them out of the sky with ease (read Raptor). This means they'll be sellable and fund the jet industry some more. I can't complain I need a job after I graduate. |

| Well given the choice between the two as a CC I'd go GE. Also more simple on launch, less delta p's to check etc. |
