OK, I don't think a thread like this exists so I thought it would be great to collect all the slang used for Viper parts.

Please feel free to list as many terms as you can think of. Include the official name, the slang, and who calls it that.

I'll consolidate all the posts later and make a "dictionary".

You mean like for example 2 of the engine panels, the bathtub and the donut? lol This could be an interesting thread.

F-16B/D's = "StationWagons"

One of my former Vice Commanders came crawling out of a D after a mission one day.. he leaned over holding his hand over his mouth as to tell a secret as we were walking back up to debrief shack... he says flying one of these is like having ***** with your sister... It's a great ride, but you don't want anyone seeing you doing it! I'll never forget that moment.. I LMAO so hard I had tears in my eye's...

Where the CSD, ADG and main GEN are, those panels are the "Clam shells". Where the vertical attach point is, that's the "Montana panel" and the rudder ISA panel is the "Doretio".

The spine of the jet is refered to as the "back bone". The centerline has a component that is refered to as "milk jugs".

One of our pieces of age is refered to as a "mule".

The DFLCC or Digital flight control computer is refered to as the "Dee flick". The outer flaps on the engine are refered to as the "turkey feathers". The Ventral fins are refered to as the "Vee fins". The flight stick is refered to as the "side stick controler". The bulk heads are commonly called "ribs".

Crew Chiefs are refered to as "buger hookers", weapons are "knuckle dragers", and specialists are "pointy heads". Of course there are some more colorful names for each but we can leave that out. Oh and I should also mention "Nonners", they are non-sortie producing personnel.

The D Model itself (or B for ol' timers) is referred to as "The Station Wagon" Because the kids ride in the back.

Refuel adapter is known as a "moosehead" and an IFR tester is known as the "donkey d**k"

There is a panel right next to the negative pressure relief valve that is known as the "Utah panel". The beefup plates that were done as part of Falcon Up had names like the "lawn mower blade" and the "tommy gun".

F-16D = "grocery getter"

Sorry guys but one that I have always heard... "F-16 Lawn Dart"...quick run for cover and check six while doing incase I offended anyone. Bang Head

Haven't seen this one yet.
The antenna's on the nose of the F-16 ADF and MLU are called "birdslicers".

And the ECM devices on the C-model LEFs are called "Beer Cans".

Over the wing defuel hose was also the "Donkey D**k", along with the IFR light assembly.

Augmentor igniter housing was referred to as the "daisy wheel".

Doulble row of ventral screws are called "death row" especially w/a centerline on. The intake is the "hoover" or "vacuum".

Remeber the front lower antennae called the "beaver teeth"?

Pilots are "stick actuators". The PDU pnl is the "horse shoe".

Pilots refered to as "Aces II Counter Weight"
B and D models refered to as "The Bus"
Weapons Crews refered to as "BB Stackers"
Electricians refered to as "Spark Chasers"
LEF Lockout Switch refered to as "Idiot Switch"
MFL panel refered to as "Idiot Panel"
TTU 205 was called by one expiditer "The Sweedish Enlarger Pump" this was way before Austin Powers so kinda made ya wonder where his mind was...
