| Since I live on the Southern end of Florida (Near the marshes), and it's now the rainy season, I get bit at least 3-5 times per day (Which is why I don't go outside in the morning or in the evening). I've never heard of any products that actually get rid of bites, so if I were you, just try to leave it alone and it should go away. But what ever you do, DO NOT SCRATCH IT, or it will stay for quiet a long while. |

| Vinegar. Hurts a bit but beggars can't be choosers right? Its made of the same stuff as bee-stings only in a smaller concentration. Also any kind of anti-histamine will stop it itching. Once the itching stops the inflammation will go down and hey presto its not bothering you anymore. |

Sometimes saliva does it!
I have a relative who was in the army here, and he got bitten so many times that he started scratching himself so hard, his friends thought he was sick or something, his unit commander told him to put saliva on his bites, and sure enough, the bits were gone in a day.
I personally experienced this, and it's true! |

Okely dokely not quite sure what kind of mosquitoes you get in Egypt but hmmm thats kind of a strange remedy. Chemically speaking, I actually feel the need to look into that. *starts thinking* Argh! Last years chemistry classes come roaring back and oh, my head, it hurts.

Yes Lisafer, remember to use Vegemite with caution. Your soy sauce flavored friend is the worlds RICHEST source of Vitamen B! Scary! But I wonder if you could absorb through the skin like that...

Well you might be surprised at how much you can absorb through the skin but anyway.... Haha mmm Vegemite. I'm thinking Vegemite on Vogels is looking good about now. But why have Vitamen B when you could ahve Vitamen N instead (oh those bad habits which require Zippos hahaha) |

I had a little applicator thing for stings and bites which contained a high concentration of ammonia - hurt like the dickens when you put it on, but it seemed to do the trick .

Rubbing Alcohol (Isoprophyl) will take away the pain of a mosquito bite, or ant bite, for that matter. It will also strip solidified pine sap off of your car. I Sierra you not!
Ok, I'm probably the first Yank to have ever said this, but...VEGEMITE FOXTROTTIN' ROCKS MAN!
I started looking at the ingredients once, and TC starts thinking...
Yeast Extract, Malt Extract...basically Vegemite is really just beer in a paste form! Awesome!
Vegemite and MiGs were made to be pounded! |
