Parrothead, breaking red is going onto the flightline without authorization. Even with a line badge you still needed to enter and exit at a Entry Control Point (ECP). If you didn't you broke red and would end up eating the ramp on the wrong end of an M-16.

The best is when you Maintenance guys escort someone, then we find the person with out their escort offical walking around the flightline. Usually its some young troop scared to death when we put him on the ground. Its the little things like that, that humor us.
