Hi everyone,
Many posts that have pics are no showing on my screen. I've had this problem before in other sites due to anti-hotlinking software/Firewall. The difference is that usually there is a space were the picture should be or a message disallowing hotlinking. This time, there is nothing, as if the author of the post forgot to post the picture, but I can tell that they DID post due to replies that comment these pictures.
As an example, in the thread "<a href="f-16_forum_viewtopic-t-2687.html">How about a face to go with your name?</a>", I'm only able to see 1 picture in three pages of posts.
I have no problems viewing pictures in the database, just the ones in the forum threads.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix?
Thanks in advance... |

Hi Pat1,
Thank you for your feedback but I have honestly no idea what would cause this. Have you already tried an alternative browser like FireFox or Opera?
Perhaps it is your antivirus software or adfilter who block those pictures?
Regards,
Lieven |

I use all in one secretmaker and pictures will not display in the forum if I have the banner blocker on. It blocks all flash animation and banners, not to mention a lot of pictures . |

Hi Lieven, thanks for suggesting alternatives. I will play around with my current software first, should it fail I'll try an alternate browser. If I find the solution I'll post back here should anyone else have this problem.
Thanks for the heads-up Parrothead! I don't use any of software that does this as I have no bandwidth problems.
My problems in the past have usually corresponded when websites upgrade their anti-hotlinking sotware, coupled with my firewall (Symantec) oneway or another. |
