Annelin, None of the patches documented here are what you can call 'rare'. They seem like bulk standard patches doing the rounds. Like you said loads can be found on Ebay. The authentic BAF patches all come from APS.
Out of personal choice I'd hate to have 'real' 350 (F) as that looks like pretty bad example documented in the scan above. The stitching of the words is aweful!!! |

ASIF, I don't believe you're quite correct when you say that none of the patches in the scans are rare. It all depends on what you personally appreciate in a good patch.
The BAF patches that are real, are rare, because there are few made, and few in circulation. The fake patches in the scans contribute to making the BAF patches common, because this Ponbert guy makes/sells many of the fake ones. Therefore it is important to point out that this Ponbert character is contributing in making the BAF patches more common by selling fakes.
When a patch is made in a limited number as are the BAF patches, they are rare. If you saw the auctions on E-bay of the BAF patches before Ponbert entered with his fakes, the prices were high, and with good reason --> rare patches.
So when you say that the real BAF patches are common, I believe you're mistaken. |

well the Matrix stitching of the words is infact how it looks like on the matrix movie poster. By looking at the matrix website you can see the matrix logo like it is on the real patch. http://whatisthematrix.warnerbros.com/ |

Sorry guys, I've seen a dozen examples of each [real] from the source & also one other dealer. So in my eyes none of these are rare. Maybe for you they are, but not for me. Out of personal choice I've not bought any of the 3 shown as I don't like them at all.. Personal taste!
I find it harder to pick up any of your authentic RNoAF patches which are produced in even smaller quantities than these BAF patches.
for the heads up about the 'MATRIX' Logo, explains a lot.
I do not disagree with either of you about the reporting of fakes. I like you do NOT want to get 'stung' and end up paying good money for something I wouldn't wipe my a** with. |
