Interesting,

Quote:
MOSCOW, April 11 (RIA Novosti) - A joint Russian-US theater missile defense exercise will be held here April 12-23 at the Russian Defense Ministry's No. 4 central R&D institute.

This exercise aims to coordinate operations by headquarters of tactical (non-strategic) air-defense and missile defense units in shielding a third country's facilities from non-strategic ballistic missiles during joint combat operations under the auspices of international organizations, reports the Russian Defense Ministry's press service.

Why would we ever do this with the CCCP? We dont really agree on anything with them at all.

Opinions?

You're absolutely right! We would never do this with the CCCP, seeing as they haven't existed in about 14 years! Razz

Ever since the fall of the Soviet Union, we've been working with the Russians to dismantle nukes, provide disclosure about existing ICBMs, and silos, and synch our operations.

When the Y2K scare was happening, the Americans even sent teams over to Russia to make sure their computers were up to speed to prevent any Y2K FUBARs.

This exercise sounds like a great idea. It will give both sides some "real world" experience and training, especially with the element of exchange crews.

Beers and MiGs were made to be pounded!
