For all those interested, pilot/nav selection for this year came out yesterday here at ERAU. We got a total of 37 pilot slots, 14 nav slots, and 2 abm slots. Roughly half of those who applied received something. Rumor has it that a few more nav-to-pilot upgrades are coming. In my opinion, if you want a pilot slot through AFROTC, ERAU is the way to go (hey, it worked for me ). Should be finding out my assignment soon, I'll keep everyone posted. Keep focused on the goal...

Hey thats great! Good luck in UPT battleaxe. I heard a rumor maybe once... You could shed light on?
Someone told me once if you goto embry you get a great education but never let the instrctors know you are seeking a career in the military because many of the instructors there wanted to enter the crumbling airline industry and couldnt make it because of the economy. And they resent the military pilots who almost always get hired for being pretrained and well expereinced. Have you heard of any such stuff there?

I've never heard anything like that, it's been quite the opposite in my opinion. I've had lots of instructors here that were prior military and extremely supportive of everyone in the military. Even the instructors with a civilian background seem really supportive. I think there is an unusual amount of support for the military here at ERAU, something you don't see at most other colleges and universities. Hope that helps...

Just curious Battle ax09:
Are those slots shared with Prescott campus as well? Or did they get their own? |

Just to clarify, the number of slots mentioned above are ONLY for the Daytona Beach campus, I have no info on Prescott.

| I gradutated the Prescott campus a few years back (ok 5 years), and the slots are not shared between each campus. They are two seperate ROTC Dets. therefore, two different buckets of slots. |

If anyone has any information about the following former ERAU Cadets, class of 88' and 89' Daytona Beach, would like to know what they're doing now?
- Pete Bristol
- Scott Tabor
- Peter Flieshman
- Jeff Rickets
- Scott Borden
- AJ Pope
- LJ McCreary
Any information on the whereabouts of these officers would be helpful!! |
