Does anyone know how much training is needed after flight school of the F-16 before you are combat qualified?
And what is the requirements to go to Fighter Weapons School? Thanks in advance. |

sqtf109,
In Belgium when you leave flight school you have about 250 flight hours on your counter, devided over SF-260M and Alpha Jet.
When you are selected to go on F-16, you fly 60 hours (both as student or solo) before you are qualified to convert to an operational squadron. How many hours you need than before you are completely combat ready, I honestly wouldn't know. Just remember this: when you have flown 10 hours you think it's fuc**ing great, when you have flown 100 hours you think it's harder than you thought, when you have flown 1,000 hours you realize that coming down is definitely harder than going up and when you have flown 10,000 hours, you know that you will never learn.
