| Yeah 88 is real good. The average for most people is in the upper 60s to mid low 80s. But to be honest dont even sweat the ASVAB. Unless youre completley brain dead, youll get in. |

Well ERAU is quite expensive to say the least. I live 10 minutes from the campus in Daytona. I'm currently in my senior year of high school and looking at all options. From what I hear, ERAU is going to accept you if you have decent SAT/GPA due to the price. (True or not I do not know) I think it's listed at 43K a year to attend and that’s in-state. I'm going to apply there but even if I do get in I'm not sure the money is there. Going to a famous aeronautical college like ERAU is not the end of the line if you can not afford it. My plan is to attend a state university and get a degree in something remotely related to aviation; Also, I will be looking to join AFROTC. After that is completed and I attain a bachelor’s degree, I will see what kind of money I can make while at the same time attending a college more focused on my needs. And if all goes well I will look hard into the Air Force.
This is the path I have chosen, although probably not the best. If the money is there go where you want or if you’re really good try for the Academy.
(Little note I am not anywhere near as informed as the other people on this forum so listen to them first!)
Gooluck with whatever you do! |

KickURanus, (nice name by the way) I go to Bridgewater State College, we have a great aviation department here.
We fly thru Delta Academy, which is a little on the expensive side, but they get you thru all your flying on time and effectively so. The school is not expensive at all. There is also an aviation degree with concentration in aviation management, which is what I do since I can't afford all of my ratings, this concentration is fully related to avition from all angles, it requires you to get your private, which is good cause you get some flying experience too, but this way you don't have to spend all your cash on flying but you still get a good education that is aviation related. And for someone like me who is not the least bit interested on a career flying civilian planes (busses in the sky) it is a great opportunity to get some aviation background which, hopefully, will help when applying for a pilot slot.
www.bridgew.edu is the site for my school if you are interested.
Good luck |

Is there a site where I could check what my other ASVAB scores were?
It's been over a week and I haven't received anything in the mail yet.
Thanks |

| Alright Bro's. I went to ERAU in Prescott,AZ for a BS in Elelctrical Engineering. I did have a full scholarship which I recieved out of High School, but many of my friends did not. Alot of the talk on this thread is about getting an aviation degree at Embry Riddle, well, you dont have to. The Engineers were jealous of the Bro's that were flying during college but we knew our time would come eventually. The school is ALOT cheaper if you dont fly and has one of the best ROTC programs around. I got a flight slot out of ROTC and I am flying the F-16 now. It can be done, I guess it depends on how bad you want it!!!!!! |
