Hello,

New member here looking for some help please. I have a ACES II ejection seat that I am trying to determine the value. It also has brass commemorative plates on each side of the seat that says "This ACES II seat saved the life of a USAF pilot at OSAN AB, Korea, On 21 June 1983". The gentleman that I purchased it from purchased it from a Military auction in CA in the late 1980's. Can anyone give me a rough idea as to its value? I did pay good money for it as I thought it was really unusual.

mechanical problems, RTB, could not get left main down, landed and attempted to take the barrier/cable. Starting to exit the runway at about 90 knots, before engaging the cable.

There is no confirmation the jet is at AMARC, so could be in service, even though it is one of the oldest USAF F-15Cs. Someone claimed to see it at AMARC in 2010, so couldn't be sure either way.

I noticed you have an f-15 stick and sfs. I know a guy building an f-15 simulator he might be interested if those parts are for sale.

78-0507 went to AMARC in Sept 2010. flew last with the 60th FS at Eglin. at one time it was the marked as the 60FS boss bird (2000 when I saw it marked, saw it again 2005 without the marks).

Used/demilled ejection seats are periodically sold on ebay for an average of $500 to $1500 depending on condition, age, and rarity. An avid ejection seat collector may offer you as much as $3K for your ACES II since it was used for an actual ejection. Many pilots who eject end up in possession of their ejection seats but obviously Capt Burton didn't end up with his for whatever reason.
