| According to scuttlebutt, Vadm. Venlet was intending to retire at the end of his NAVAIR tour. Vadm Venlet is a Navy legend, and has been in the Navy more than 35 years (1976 USNA graduate) and well known for his F-14 downing a Libyan Sukhoi over the Gulf of Sidra, in addition to his accomplishments as a test pilot. I wish him well for the future. |
