It's 2130, the ramp is totaly different now that cargo planes are here. Its a Vault/hardend type building that looks like it was built for a nuke war. A old map of the base shows aircraft around the building, and the near by Haz's but all that is gone now. I can tell it was a important building back in the day, it even had a gun storage and issue room, the gun issuing sign is still on the wall |

Yup, that's it. You can walk out the back of ops and cut through the wood right to were my jet sat at HAS 25. A lot of pilots stepped to my jet that way.

That's cool, I always wondered what the place looked like inside back than. It was basicly empty when we moved in.

I also discovered a old F-15 from 73. Its just sitting outside, still has the ejection seat in it. Ill take some photos... Was it a F-16 F-15 or F 86 or something else in those HAS when you were there?

There was a complete RF-4 in an old revetment behind the C-21 squadron when I was there last. Its covered in vines and shrubs, and definitely worth the walk if you have the time.

The old birds were brought in (I believe) when they were doing some Camoflage and Deception testing or ABDR. Things were a little weird in 90 to 94 on my second tour there. "East" German Mig-29s on the 526 ramp to fly Gen Oaks, USAFE commander. Hip and Hind helicopters flying in one day while I was on Hot Pits. Things sure did change fast after the Wall fell.
