If your okay with modern and vintage then heres what catches my fancy
1. P-51D
2. T-50 PAK-FA
3. F-15C
4. F-14
5. SU-35S
6. GO-229 (Germany's flying wing that never made it to the frontlines)
7. C-47/DC-3 (sure its a cargo plane but it just looks so classy to me)
8. B-17G |

Sure, it's not an American aircraft, but I think its proportions are absolutely perfect.

Wait, we have an entire thread devoted to "The Prettiest military aircraft", and in the entire 50 pages of posts, there are only two pictures of the YF-23, both sitting on the ground?
I mean, come on. If we are honest with ourselves, we have to admit that the only reason anyone (other than Northrop Grumman) cared that it lost the competition was because it was the most beautiful plane we had ever seen.

| I know the Bone has already been put forward, but this shot from a few months ago just blew my mind. Brandon was nice enough to send me a high def version of this and it's been my desktop for months. |

My vote is the Starfighter, and it has been my vote since I saw a model of it when I was 10 years old. It even looks good in ugly Luftwaffe livery...
