Still @ Eddy with rumors of her heading home real soon. Launched her out quite a few times with EPAF pilot. I really took a fondness to the aircrew that normally flew her and the unique triple six tail. Scary stuff at first, but that jet and crew actually rock! Very Happy Very Happy

Refueled her last week in the Eddy range. Unfortunately no cameras allowed inflight anywhere near the F-35. I really wanted a picture of that tail.

Hi Matt,

Are You sure You´re not thinking of the Danish ET-210 that´s supporting the JSF program with a very flashy tail.

The Norwegian F-16AM 80-3666 is a "plain Jane" only with her 666 serial on the tail?!

Cheers,

Henrik.

Unlike 80-3666 that will soon go back to the RNoAF for continued service the Danish F-16BM 78-0210 will not go back the RDAF after her JSF-support tasks but retire in the US going to the AMARG bone-yard.

Denmark is now the only country to still operate the original "Small Stab" Vipers known from the initial Block-1, 5 and -10 aircraft having not upgraded their original Block-10 aircraft with the larger Block-15 stabs. And the Danish "Block-10 MLUs" don´t have the ability to carry AMRAMMs nor target pods!!

Only the original Block-15s have been upgraded with the latest MLU-package.

Cheers,

Henrik.

I believe the M6.1 actually - yes, only an OT&E.

Also note that the aircraft is equipped with a LITENING G4 target pod as this particular test was part of a Portugese requirement and also flown by a Portugese pilot - Maj Joes "KIMBA" Dias.

The RNoAF normally use the PANTERA ( Sniper ) target pods for their F-16s.

Cheers,

Henrik.

M6 won't bring any work to depot at Kjeller.
The upgrade is pretty straight forward, and done in a few hours at the air force bases.
