Has anyone seen a F-16 recognition model? Is there such a thing?

Models can be bought at the Lockheed Martin Recreation Association store in Fort Worth or through the on line store. See http://www.lockheedmartingear.com. Click on the Lockheed Martin Enthusiasts link and then on the Models/Toys link and then on the F-16 Models link.

Thanks for that link.

Recognition models were developed during WW2 and during the cold war to help aviators and civilians identify enemy aircraft. I believe this started in the [Link pending approval] after an incident where several friendly aircraft were shot down by mistake. Aircraft from that period flew slow enough that visual identification was useful. But I've got a feeling that after the cold war (1950s) military aircraft were too fast for visual identification to be of any practical purpose. If you were under attack you'd probably be dead before you even saw it coming.
