Dear all,

I had recently installed falcon 4.0 allied force on my macbook pro, alas i have no flcs to go with it. i have downloaded the key-board chart and complete user-manual.

My start-up routine is getting better and take-off as well. my question is that after start-up and take off my ADI still shows red/yellow flag, and secondly the heading scale on the HUD goes blank, which makes following steer-points difficult.

Help me guys.

Thank you,
Hasan.

Success!!!!!!! thanks deadseal! i owe you one.....now the problem is with landing. airspeed 185kts, altitude 1600ft, throttle around 70%, What should be ideal AOA and Rate of descent for a perfect landing? distance to runway i think is between 5-6miles! need help on this one too!! I guess the VVI should help, In'it???

Just fly the approach using about 11 degrees AoA (FPM at the bottom of the AoA-staple in the HUD) and fly level with the gear down until the threshold is about three degrees below the horizon. Start the decent, extend the speedbrakes and put the FPM on the threshould. The airspeed will depend on the weight of the jet, but if you use power as required to maintain the AoA and put the FPM on the threshold, then airspeed and VVI will solve themselves. Shift the aimpoint a little bit down the runway when you start to sense the ground rush (hard to experience in the SIM). When landing is assured you can pull to idle and aim to touchdown with about 13 degrees AoA (in the center of the staple or green donut) and keep 13 degrees for the aerobrake.

And once you have a good alignment with the runway and a correct attitude, try to use throttle instead of stick as much as possible during the final phase of the landing.
