My peronal impression is that the new F-16 flight model is excellent! New 3D models are gorgeous, so are the bases though the map around them still looks like falcon 4.
I think we can just call it Falcon BMS 4.32, DarkFalcon was never an official name
FLARE terrain textures should be finished sometime which will give Falcon a more realistic terrain option.
So Pilotasso, F4 came a long way since 1998 huh? I remember our discussion comparing stuff to DCS etc... Hope you like it... I loved it. Best is NO MORE 2D pit. |

I was never a DCS fundamentalist I think you misunderstood me there. Though you just wait to see whats next in the series!
Also this BMS adresses some of the issues I complained about F4 mods, but also theres others that remain I wish to be changed. |

I would make a mention of that as a Suggestions thread in the BMS forums. What is next in DCS? Superbug? |

No. The team already said there wont be any late gen aircraft. The candidates were F-14, F-15, F-16, f-18 Mirage 2000, tornado etc. That was 2 years ago. Meanwhile the editor already excluded all of these down to F-16 and F-18.
So either the hornet or falcon providing no big surprises and rabits from the hat nor other things come along. One thing is certain: A producer already said it was going to be an american fighter long awaited by simmers worldwide. |

| That makes me think because I remember screenshots of a F-16 pit in development but it could have been just for sh*ts and giggles... Now that BMS is out, I wonder if that would affect their thinking. |

Available documentation affects them more than anything else. BMS and DCS are going to be 2 different animals. The scope of the 2 SIM's are different. While BMS focuses on Dynamic campaign as its main feature, DCS is all about DACT, even if the missions will be only consequencial, not dynamic. I happen to have less time available to fly and do it online only, so, seperate missions is what i can fly.
I already have BMS. DCS: fighter is next on my list. |

| I do like to fly missions rather than campaign myself. That is why I only do TEs in Falcon. Well if DCS goes F-16 everyone will compare it to BMS, this could be a good thing or a bad thing. |

Hardcore simmers will get them both. There will be for sure things that will be explored on DCS that are not on BMS and vice versa. Some people already prophetizing many flight simmers are going to ask why DCS doesnt work exactly like falcon 4 when DCS finnaly comes out. That will be fun
One of the things that might be the cause will be different blocks, MLU tapes etc. |

| I know DCS attention to detail to it is something to look forward to, what I can imagine is, people requesting DCS features that are not on BMS from the team, I would LOL |

| I believe BMS team have the freedom to implement whatever fans request, even some DCS features within their time and technical limits. A proffessional editor like ED compromises their schedule before an administration but they have a higher ceiling for what they can achieve. Raw man power, their own engine and they dont code on their free time. |

Pity that, there hasn't been a F-14 sim for the PC since what? Fleet Defender? I would love to able to sim a F-14 Tomcat on my PC again (and no Flight Simulator doesn't count)!
That said looking forward to "an american fighter long awaited by simmers worldwide." |

| There are some good sims covering some good aircraft out there, A-10 and F-15 are covered by ED, F-16 by BMS, AH-64D by Combat Helo, F-18, I am not if VRS is realistic, but Seven-G is covering that, if they are still up. I know there is a Harrier one coming out with a Falkland theater, Russian equipment is covered by ED again, but like you said, I would love to see a detailed F-4 Phantom one, or like you said, F-14 one. |
