If it really is 242, than I saw this yet in 2011 in Curacao for the last time (
It was a yet where they were taking good care of. It is also one of the few US F-16's I was allowed to climb in the cockpit for a closer look (and picture of course). First time I saw it was in 1993, when it was the CO bird for the 86th FW at Ramstein, and it was on display at Eindhoven, The Netherlands.

Hello all,
No news as of yet regarding the serial number - fingers crossed that it´s not 242 .
Air-to-air, any photos of her - and her friends - in Curacao in 2001?!?!
Cheers,
Henrik. |

Hello all,
Well, I hate to say that I yesterday got the confirmation of the serial in question here and our worst thoughts came true!!
It´s 87-0242 as rumours suggested earlier on - damn, what a shame one of the finest Vipers in the USAF inventory and one with a very special service history, too
Cheers,
Henrik. |
