Hi,

I'm a F-16 cockpit builder and I'm wondering about something:

First, I guess the difference between "auto" and "manual" is that in auto-mode the temperature in the cockpit is kept under control by a thermostat (sensor) while in manual-mode a constant cold-warm airflow is flowing through the vents (and by this the temperature in the cockpit can get higher and higher).

Second (this is my question actually), what about the airflow? Is it kept constantly as soon as the knob is set to auto/manual or is the airflow getting higher by setting the knob to a higher level?
In a car you have a knob for the temperature and another for the airflow, doesn't have a F-16 such a thing?

Because my pit will not get a canopy I guess there is no need to have a difference between auto and manual, but I want to build in some cold/warm system.

I hope someone can help me with it.

Greetings

Werner

Airflow is controlled by the DEFOG lever.

Hi VarkVet,

thanks for the [Link pending approval] thought that the defog lever was used for defogging the canopy only. Is it also used for the air-vent of the ICP and the two ventilations behind the seat (left and right)?

Seeya
