While talking about the current situation in libya, me and my colleges where wondering where do these pilots put their personal belongins if they need to go on a mission for several weeks/ days. I guess most of their stuff gets dropped of later with transport, but what about like a spare set of undies, boots, toothbrush, a PC.....You know stuff you need directly at arrival. I was wondering does the jet have some sort of "luggage compartment"?
I know its a stupid question but has anyone of you guys ever thought about it? |

| You can stuff the most basic necessities in a helmet bag and put it behind the seat under the small piece of the canopy. There's also room for some stuff in pubs bags placed on the side panels and in the map case. More stuff can be transported in a travel pod, usually one travel pod per ferry flight, and the most essential stuff from all the pilots in the flight is put in the pod. The remaining equiptment is transported by the support team, normally by military transport aircraft like a C-130 together with the rest of the detachment. |
