| SWIM is a FLCS function. It is an auto function used to check the FLCS for faults but commonly can be read about when relating to TFR. It will check the NVP to ensure proper functioning before engaging Auto TFR. ANy break in integrity may lead to an auto fly up. |

So am I correct to say that the integrity is reference with TFR setting? Or can we the reference from ALOW?

| System Wide Integrity Management. Emphasis on the "system wide" aspects. Every subsystem has its own self test functions, but for an integrated aircraft level function like TF you need something that bridges the gaps left by the subsystems. It is aircraft level self test built in test, but also goes back into the original design to look at failure rates, historical trends, etc, and how quickly certian types of failures need to be detected in order to keep the aircraft from hitting the terra firma. |
