Very few details, but it looks like Jordan lost a 16 today and the pilot was killed. God speed to him and my thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Stories below from Petra and Canadian press.

Amman, September 28 (Petra) -- A routine training flight turned deadly on Tuesday when a Royal Air Force aircraft crashed during a military exercise killing the pilot, military sources said. The sources said that Capt. Saleh Abdul Rahman Darawsheh died when his plane developed a technical malfunction and crashed in the designated training zone. //Petra// AA 28/09/2010 17:21:55

Jordanian military plane crashes during exercise killing the pilot
By The Associated Press (CP) – 7 hours ago

AMMAN, Jordan — Jordan says one of its air force planes has crashed during a military exercise, killing the pilot.

Information Minister Ali Ayed says Tuesday's crash was caused by a technical malfunction and took place in a military zone. He did not have information on the type of plane.

The state-run Petra news agency said it was an F-16.

My thoughs are with the people left behind.

it seem a little premature to claim technical reason before they are sure what airplane it was...

Blaming the craft before they know what type of hull it was; denial is a powerful tool.

Best defense is a good offense!
