Thanks for the info guys......and @havevoid, i was referring to the fact that after 15years our block-52s may require certain upgrades to increase their life expectancy, but it is all depending upon the US-PAK relations, we will be in a catch-22 situation,God forbid if the US stops giving spares for these block-52 jets. walking on thin ice yet again. considering our pilots don't get to fly much due to some constraints, our viper fleet will stay till 2040 as well.
A question for my american friends is that, sooner or later if the US government cancels all the three variants of f-35, and opens the f-22 production lines long enough to produce a similar number of those jets already in your inventory, what will be the step forward for you guys? The NAvy and the marines will field new and upgraded f/A-18 super hornets, and the air force f-15/E silent eagles and upgraded and new f-16s? in short what will be your mainstay?
There's zero chance that the F-35A/C will be cancelled, or F-22s being produced in those kinds of numbers. At most, you'll see upgraded/overhauled Vipers/Super Hornets flying, along with upgraded C/E model F-15s. |
