| I am in the process of modeling an F16A Block 15 (kit is by Kinetic Models) of the Royal Netherlands Air Force, and I need some help. I want to be sure that I have the correct paint scheme that the plane came with from the factory. Also, there is an exchange unit from the RNeAF, based at Springfield, OH, and I was wondering if someone could identify the unit? My son and I met a few very nice Dutch pilots at the 2010 Dayton Air Show, and would like to model one of their aircraft if the decals are available. My son is a member of the Junior AFROTC program at Delaware Hayes High School in Delaware, OH, and would like to pay a tribute to those exchange pilots. |

It is 306 Squadron.
See this link: [Link pending approval]
Dutch F-16's have the standard 3 tone gray camouflage (FS36118, FS36270 and FS36375).
However the ones based in the US where heavily weathered and used a mixture of Dutch squadron badged.
Some of them also had the red/yellow tailband and the text "Ohio".
On [Link pending approval] you can find a lot of pics of these aircraft.
I hope this helps. |
