Vipers from 132 wing at Bodø did a region wide flyover with their 14-ship holiday formation to the delight of the people in Northern Norway. This is a tradition that dates back to the 50s when F-84 Thunderjets started the tradition.

Here are some more pictures and a couple of videos. It was a great 14-ship with one additonal jet directing the formation and taking pictures and filming Smile

This years Christmas Star on December 17 by the 132. air wing at Bodø MAS. The formation was made up by 14 F-16s with another one as camera chase. Weather was excellent, cold and clear December skies. Flight lasted about an hour and half and flew over the northern parts of the country. A few days earlier the 138. air wing at Ørlandet flew a 9-ship formation over the central and south-east. The tradition dates back to the 1950s and the F-84 Thunderjet.

There's already a post for the Norwegian Christmas Star here: http://f-16.net/f-16_forum_viewtopic-t-14870.html

The videos show aircraft from Bodø Main Air Station and 331 and 332 squadron, not from 338 squadron at Ørlandet. And it was a B-model that flew chase and filmed the formation and took pictures. I believe that Ørlandet flew with 9 Vipers a couple of days earlier without chase and without the event being filmed.
