The RAAF F-111's made their final showing at the Riverfire celebrations in Brisbane, Australia last weekend and a fine show it was.

They'll be sorely missed. Sad

Unfortunately they had to go before they started making it the last time in their life for the crews.

The final farewell flyover happened just before lunch today. Was a little sad seeing them for the last time.

Good to see the old and the new in formation though.

So long 'Vark! Salute The Americans and Aussies will miss you! However, I'm pretty sure Qaddaffy Duck won't! Laughing

Are most of the F-111 aircrews transferring to the Super Hornet?

Disco, yes, the plan has been for many of the 'Vark crews to go to the Super Bug.
