I do actually. It just I have no network because all the people I knew at Eglin are not there because the 33rd side closed down for the F-35.

Just go over to the 9th and 5th SOS hangar. They are next to the climatic lab.

Tell them you want to be an ART. You will get hired. The Reserve cant keep ARTs because of the madatory uniform wear.

If they cant hire you right away. Become a Reservist and work mandays till the do.

Yes, The big hangar in the middle of the base. Where the road splits.

We cant keep ARTs here at March. I make over 100K and cant wait to get a DCMA job. If you want to be on treated like Active duty. But without all the benefits. Join the Reserve ART program.

The reason the Guard isnt losing people at the same rate. Is they are the Guard and they do what they want. When you get hired you know you are wearing the uniform. And that the Guard will buy them. You also dont need a letter from your Mom to reschedule your UTA.

Now in the Reserve. We went from Blue jeans to Uniforms. But theres no money for the extra uniforms you need. But to keep your job you need to have them. So guess what? Yep, it comes out of your pocket. Last year I had to buy a ABU Gortex gear. On top of the unifroms and safety boots. Right now we have a couple guys in trouble about the uniform. They were seen not wearing them right. This was off base after they were off the clock. Heaven forbid.

Now you Guard guys are going to say we are all the same. Yeah, call me when you do fit to fight twice a year.

I know in the VTANG 158th FW yes do we fit to fight twice a year since last year. This spring we did it under the new requirements as a test to see where we were on meeting that reg, and then this fall was the no sh%$ better pass under the new reg. Our Wing CC is all about being fit to fight "One Team One Fight" motto I bet everyone that went to PSAB remembers that one LOL. They also implemented that the unit fitness monitors would not PT their own people to take any chance of cheating, so much for integrity, attitude, honor. I can't believe that AFRES expects the technicians to buy their own uniforms that's just crazy! How can they justify that when the AD folks get money to pay for theirs, and in the Guard we get ours issued there's no difference in my eyes we are all wearing that uniform daily.
I hear you on working for DCMA, I just retired from the ANG as a technician and now work for DCMA as a GS-11 QAS and you can't beat it. The whole DCMA training system needs some work but when you get in you won't regret it!
