no problem eagle
ANG units are allowed more freedom from what I have seen and heard, I asked my son why and his reply was they are state run units and not USAF technically, dont quite understand that. the AF releases info airman would be courtmarshalled for releasing hense the no rhyme or reason comment earlier. Shaws website posted a press release a few days after the 55th deployed to Balad on 5/19/10 and stated the 77th was currently there so you can guess at one time there were near 50 regular AF F16's at Balad not including ANG units. thats alot of firepower. I have to disagree though that the true number of aircraft is ever published, you as a tail number guy should know this. their saying we only have 50k in country now and we know better dont we.
I know where my son is but not even he knows his leave date as its been changed for a good reason. Their replacement has not yet been named in the press. I'll go out on a limb and give you one tail number. 93-0378, I'll give you the rest but not in a public forum. |

| OPERATION NEW DAWN... hmmm isnt that obvious? Now as far as the heat is concerned.. this thread has been going on for three years with postings from USAF Public Affairs. As a former active duty/reservist I know all about OPSEC since I worked in several critical areas so if someone has a problem with me linking a public affairs bulletin please PM me. |
