Iosif Anastasakis, 35, was in critical condition but stable after undergoing a third operation in a row, doctors said.

Anastasios Balatsoukas, the 33-year-old pilot of the second plane, who was killed instantly in the collision, is to be buried today in his hometown of Arta, northwestern Greece. Anastasakis’s co-pilot, 25-year-old Pavlos Votzakis, was being treated for minor injuries in a military hospital in Athens yesterday.

People commenting on a CNN newsweb page last week were making light of this incident. It is both sad and pathetic how the average people out there are oblivious to the inherent dangers of military aviation. They need to learn and respect how much effort is put into air defense by ALL involved with military aviation.

May the brave fallen rest well with their ancestors. Salute

I dont think this got updated, but the second pilot died this past week. Here is a link to the article.

http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-ne ... sscenarios

From the sound of it, he was really bad to begin with and I dont know how the hell he got out of the airplane in that shape.

God speed to the pilots who passed and hopefully the pilot who survived wasnt at fault. I cannot imagine the guilt if it came down to that.
