Aviation Recruiting I think is advertising for those positions.
Also, check around, I know Saudi Arabia isn't a prime choice, but they just changed all their PW to GE on their F15Ss and were looking for people to maintain those. Locations in Khamis or Dharhan. Google is your friend! |

Splitz is dead on. Aviation recruiting is looking for "O" level, JEIM, and Test Cell technicians to support a contract supporting the RSAF programs. Check the listings out at [Link pending approval]. |

Templar,I don't think you are being too fair. Some contractors are worse than others. Some cities are worse than others. I have received positive feedback from many candidates who have been hired on with different contractors. No matter where you go, someone is not going to like where they are at. It is a JOB. does everyone like their job, or are they doing their job strictly for the income? If an individual can work for $50-60K tax free with no living expenses other than food and internet/cell phone bills, they might find that enticing no matter where it is. Tell me that everyone who has been in the military (retired Navy myself) had been completely satisfied with where they had to serve, and how much money they made.
I don't know about you, but there were many locations during my active duty where there were a lot of difficult co-workers and seniors, the work schedule really sucked (80-100 hours, 7 days a week), locations that really sucked (in the middle of the gulf without seeing land for more than three months) for money that sucked ($40-45K).
Saudi Arabia just does not seem all that bad after what I had to experience for work in the past. |

| As a jet troop myself, Qatar is pretty nice, but don't expect to find slots there. There's only a handful civi mechs they have there are for the 3 private small jets there or TA and all of them were crew chiefs. And if you don't have your A&P, your chances are slim. All other aircraft there are tenant units and no Qatarian aircraft there. |
