I was a POL troop at Hahn from Mar 83 to Mar 86. When I arrived, all the F-4's had just left and the base was still in "training status." I left just as the first "C-D's" were showing up. When I arrived, the base looked like the air force had forgot about the place. Thanks to the F16's and GLCM, they sunk a ton of money into there to really updated everything. If you have not done so, check out Hahn Air Base on Yahoo Groups. Lots of former
"Hahniets" are on there.

I got assigned to Hahn in July 1982, I was in the 10th AMU, I was an F-16 Crew Chief and later became an Expeditor. A year later I was assigned Senior Controller in Maintenance Operations, I left Hahn in July 1985
