When deployed or in an ORI/ORE we eat these all the time. Favorite Chile and Beans,Beef Ravioli,Chicken Breast and Meatballs w/Marinara. Least liked anything with egg, an omelet should not look square and feel like cardboard.
If you think MRE's are bad you should have been around in the 60-70's. |

| Chicken and Salsa was my favorite. Granted I was surprised about the Vegan MRE's. Sometimes you didn't exactly have a choice over what to eat, and I ended up liking the vegan stuff. |

Ahhh, that was it...omelet and eggs!!! Ughhh!!! I'm getting sick just thinking about that one.

I have been told the old C-Rations made MREs seem like gourmet meals. Must be true. |

| Brother's in the Israeli Paratroopers, he swears by this. Get a can of tuna (oil, not water packed), sprinkle a little garlic (salt, powder, fresh, whatever) on top, place a napkin over the can then the lid back on top of the napkin. Light the edge of the napkin and let it cook for 5-10 min. then eat. |
