Hi all,
The Thai air force has a <a href="aircraft-database/F-16/serials-and-inventory/airforce/RTAF/">unique number</a> for in use with their F-16s. for example KH19-6/31, which flies with code 10306/87702.
I am then looking for more information about KH19-6/31, where I can find this number on the F-16?
Hope someone can help me.
Many regards,
John de Winter |

No, it's this one: 87-0702
Just to give a little more info on the indiginous Thai numbering system enforced on the number given in the above post (Kh19-6/31).
‘Kh’ indicates that the aircraft’s role is that of ‘fighter’
‘19’ indicates that the F-16 is the 19th fighter type in service of the RTAF
‘6’ indicates the 6th F-16 procured
‘31’ indicates the year of procurement as 2531 in the Buddhist calendar (= 1988)

Hi all,
I already know about the system from the Thai airforce. But what I wants to know, if this code also worn on the outside of the F-16, and where it is placed.

Judging from this photo RTAF F-16A block 15 #10305 climbing steep on a pre-delivery flight. , it looks like the 8**** serial is on the tail, and the 1**** is on the side of the fuselage, just behind the cockpit. |

The Thai number isn't carried on the F-16s at all, as far as I know. Unless somewhere internally.

| Those Thai numbers are right under the RESCUE arrow sign. As far as I know, only F-16s from 403 Sqdn carry this numbering system at that spot. Sorry for poor picture quality.. |
