| The one that comes to mind is Iron Eagle. Which other movies can you think of featuring F-16s, how were they flown and why? |

| Blue Thunder was another bad use of the F-16. The pilots were wearing Air Force System Command patches and the F-16's had no tail codes. The guys at Bitburg like to remind us that a helocopter got the better of the Vipers... |

Indeed, as well as in X2 where ANG F-16s chase the X-men aircraft. |

It looks like there are no realistic movies featuring the f-16 which is a shame. The only film that actually had some dogfights featuring the Fighting Falcon is Iron Eagle though, the Arab planes were Kfirs. What I saw of the actual flying was good and I watch some of the sequences over and over again.
As for the movie trailer, I think I have that video but haven't watched it yet. I prefer films like Flight of the Intruder, Top Gun etc

The main thing is seeing the real aircraft actually flying and what goes on in the cockpit. |

| Has anyone seen the TV-Movie "FLight of Black Angel"? There is some f-16's there... Dogfights too, Although the "bad guy" is flying a KFIR called Mirage. |

How about the movie AFTERBURN? While a movie based upon a true story vs being a shoot em up, it's still an F-16 movie. This is one that hits home for me because I was stationed at Kunsan AB from Sept 1981, right after they received the first 2 jets, and until Sept 1982, moving on to Eglin AFB 2 months before the accident in the movie. While I didn't know Ted Harduvel personally, I knew of him as one of our pilots.
Anyway, just I'd throw that movie into the mix as it's out there as well. As it's been a while since I saw it, but I seem to remember that the cockpit portions they showed in the film were of some strange aircraft I didn't recognize if I remember right... |
