Back in the day with ACCES II in the A-10 and I strapped a pilot in, I used to give a mild yank on the harnesss after the”click”

Then one day CAPT, Talahichi (A-10 Driver) said that’s not doing me any good … when the chute opens there will be a-lot more force than that?

Now I’m going too yank you out of the seat and make sure the harness is locked and I hope I don’t hurt your balls.

Duplicate text with a large gap in between. A sure sign of an impaired poster. Wink

LMAO man. As for the harness pressing against your balls... I once got taught how to make my own rope harness for rappelling, the instructor said "Boys, put those on real tight, you don't want them tightening under your own weight" We soon found out why...

I know, it's got nothin to do with fighters but what the heck, the first poster was impaired and it's 2:30am where I'm at and I'm sleepy...

I digress. (off topic warning)

Your safety concern doesn’t just apply to us guys and the family jewels. It can also apply to women and their body parts.

A long, long time ago when I was in high school I took a bunch of greenhorn classmates repelling.

We used seats made of webbing that were not prefabricated. I warned people to get them nice and tight and to not leave any slack. Sure enough several ignored my advice and were sloppy and had many of them take out the slack; however there was one very shy modest girl that refused and thought that I was just trying to be fresh. When it came to time to repel; she also did not take heed of the briefing and continued warnings as she started to repel about maintaining her seat position and proper posture. She was leaning too far forward and she was rather large busted so she got her blouse caught in the figure 8 brake about 75 feet from the ground. So I had to go to the rescue with my Swiss Army knife and cut her blouse out of the brake because her blouse was jammed extremely bad. I warned her again to maintain a proper seat position and not to lean into the rope; but sure enough she did, getting her bra caught in the brake. The bra wasn’t caught as bad so after a few minutes of struggle I was able to free it from the brake. I warned her again that if she didn’t maintain the proper seat position that next time I may have to cut the bra off or she might get her cleavage itself caught in the brake which could be painful and embarrassing. From then on she maintained her seat position and didn’t have any more problems. She was also a lot less shy and bashful after that. Several of us offered our shirts or jackets but she refused. It was mostly guys on this outing and we razzed her by jokingly accusing her of making us (the guys) look like we sexually attacked her. We thought it might look odd to onlookers that didn’t know the full story and they might get some wild ideas.

Without knowing the story; what would you think if you saw a bunch of guys go out in the woods with a few girls; then come back out a few hours later with the big busted girl all disheveled with her blouse ripped and tore up, her bra stretched out of shape, and bruises (that looked like they might be hickies) and abrasions on her cleavage?

I had the scary task of taking her home and explaining it to her parents. Thankfully her parents were understanding and had a good sense of humor.

She was a trooper; even after her bad experience she continued repelling after a few minutes of rest and reflection. We jokingly suggested she had gone from being bashful; to exhibiting herself by repelling and hiking with her blouse all tore up.

We had one guy panic and forget that. Despite the fact he was told never to let go with his brake hand; the rope shifted so he dropped a few inches he then panicked and let go with his brake hand to grab the high rope. We had a person on belay; but it took her a few seconds to recognize the situation and to respond. The brake still slowed him down but he fell fairly fast screaming like a girl all the way. The girl on belay stopped him about 50 feet from the ground; but not before he bounced off the cliff face a few times. The only injuries he had was some burn marks to his hands where the rope had burned through his gloves. He started complaining about the rope burns and the gloves; but we pointed out that it wouldn’t have happened if he didn’t let go with his brake hand. That promptly stopped his whining. He learned from his mistakes and didn’t whine anymore and never let go with his brake hand again. He was a trooper and didn’t let his bad experience stop him; after a few minutes rest and reflection he was repelling again.
