Since the Soviets didn't manufacture two-seat trainer variants of the MiG-17 and MiG-19, figuring the MiG-15UTI would be sufficient, the Chinese were clever enough to develop two-seat variants.

Nice pics! I've actually seen one of the MiG-19 grocery getters up close on a couple of occasions.

Here are a couple of images of the Guizhou JJ-7 (export FT-7), a Chinese variant of the MiG-21U Mongol two-seat conversion trainer.

I take it the Mongol's used for combat training (some sort of Sidewinder-esque missile on the PLAAF trainer) but what about the JJ-5 and -6, do they have armament?
Man, the longer canopy sure makes them look smaller, but that's just an illusion. Darn my poor eyesight, I'd love to be able to fly a MiG-21 someday. |

I knew a girl that wore that color lipstick.
Very similar from the front also.
Chinese basic Atoll was the PL-2.
AIM-9B was more drag than it was worth.

JJ-6 and JJ-5 can not carry any kind of missiles。Maybe PAF‘s JJ-6 which are improved can carry PL-7 or AIM-9P
