corect me if i'm wrong, but didn't they field, at the same time, AIM-7 & AIM-120(F-15), AIM-7 & AIM-54(F-14) and AGM-45 & AGM-88(F-4 Wild Weasel)? |

The AIM-54 was in a class by itself.
As for the rest, they were just using up the old stocks. |

As of 2012, 28 F-35Bs are planned to be produced. Less than half will be at Eglin AFB as part of the training wings.
I am assuming that most of other half will make up the OT&E wing that will make up the IOC wing.
The F-35Bs will be Blk 2 from the start, but will be upgraded to Blk 3 within a few years. |

...I almost with we could not physically see aircraft except performance record and specs and that their names were simply the letter number combination. Just F-22 or F-35 and respective data. The sharp angles and Hollywood code names really spawn A LOT of fanboys.
